Tails of Success Club Members!!
Here are some of our dogs that have been successfully adopted
into their Forever Homes...
Lady was brought to us after being
found abandoned in a gravel pit.
She is a beautiful Blue Heeler/
Border Collie mix.  Lady was
adopted into a wonderful home and
is extremely happy to finally be a
part of a loving family!  We are so
pleased for Lady to become the first
full member of the Tails of Success
Adoption Club!

EMMA
Emma and her new family.
Emma was brought to us as a result of the
Galveston hurricane this past summer.
She is a beautiful Saint Bernard and was
with Tails of Hope for only two months
before being adopted!  She is quite shy,
but has warmed up very quickly to her
new family.  We wish Emma and her new
family the very best!
SNOW TOES
PIPPI
ADOPTED NOV. 2008
ADOPTED AUG. 2008
ADOPTED DEC. 2008
Snow Toes is one of six Golden
Retriever puppies that was
dropped off at Tails of Hope.  He
is by far the fluffiest of them all.
Although he only spent 2 weeks
with us, he was adopted by an
amazing family.  Good Luck
Snow Toes and don't forget to
tell us your new name!
ADOPTED DEC. 2008
Dakota was a Terrier/Lab mix that was rescued
by Tails of Hope from the city pound.  She was
first noticed at an adoption event we attended
outside Whole Foods.  Before she knew it,
Dakota was in her new loving home.  Keep in
touch, Dakota!
DAKOTA

Dakota's first day in her new home
& on her new doggie bed!
Dakota & her new best friend
sharing her new pillow!!

Congratulations, Dakota!
P.S. Snow Toes has now sent
us pictures of himself with his
new little boy, who named him
FudgeB because of his fudgy
black color!!
Woof!  I mean hi, my name is FritzGerald
and I was just adopted!!  I am so lucky
because I was only with Tails of Hope for a
matter of days before becoming adopted.
As I've always said, "There's nothing cuter
than a puppy at Christmas time."
FRITZ GERALD
ADOPTED DEC. 2008
Update: Pippi's new mom
wrote to tell us that Pippi is
doing great, and her new
name is Layla! Here she is in
her new home!  We are so
happy for her!
BLANCA
ADOPTED DEC. 2008
Blanca was one of the sweetest dogs at Tails of Hope.
She came to us via the local pound and spent a
wonderful 3 months before being adopted.  The family
that adopted Blanca came all the way from San
Antonio to adopt one of our Golden Retriever
puppies.  About 5 minutes after being here, they met
and fell in love with Blanca, deciding to take her
instead.  Good luck, Blanca, we'll miss you!
GOLDILOCKS
ADOPTED DEC. 2008
Goldilocks is a beautiful 10-week old Golden
Retriever.  She came to Tails of Hope in a litter of 6
puppies and quickly became one of our most
popular.  After only being here for 3 weeks, she
was adopted by a family from Grapevine, Texas.
Good luck, Goldilocks, we will certainly miss your
unique personality around here.
Lovey was the very first Tails of Hope rescue dog,
thus we had a special attachment to her. She had
been with us for about 5 months before being
adopted to a wonderful lady in Ft. Worth.  Stay in
touch Lovey, we will certainly miss you!!
LOVEY
Tell me this is not the cutest puppy you've ever seen?!
Snicker Doodle is another of the six Golden
Retriever/Border Collie mix puppies that came to Tails
of Hope.  He was the runt of the litter, but what he
lacked in size, he made-up with heart.  It was difficult
for us to let him go, but he was adopted by a great
family that came all the way from Austin to get him!
SNICKER DOODLE
TRIXIE
Buddy Bojangles!  What can we say about him
that his pictures don't?  He was one of the
sweetest dogs ever to grace Tails of Hope.  The
always smiling BuddyBo is a Sheltie/Corgi mix
that was by far one of our most popular.  He was
adopted late in December by a wonderful
woman from Arlington.  She spent about 15
minutes with BuddyBo before he charmed his
way into his new home!
ADOPTED DEC. 2008
BUDDY BOJANGLES
BEAR
Pippi was another Golden
Retriever pup that was adopted
out just in time for Christmas.
She was a "resident twin" here
at Tails of Hope because we
could never tell her apart from
her sister, Peppy. Good luck
Pippi and send us a postcard!
Update: BuddyBo all groomed & in his new home!!
His new mom also tells us that BuddyBo has now
passed his AKC Good Manners certification!
Congratulations, BuddyBo!
SHADOW
ADOPTED DEC. 2008
Update: Fritz's new name is Marty, and
here he is in his new forever home! We hear
recently from Marty's mom that he is
growing so big now, and he is the most
well-behaved dog they have ever seen.
They absolutely adore him!
Update: Goldilocks' new name is
Frankie, shown here with her new
dad!!  We hear she is very smart &
has learned lots of neat tricks!
Shadow being held by his new mommy!!
ADOPTED DEC. 2008
Bear came to Tails of Hope the old
fashioned way...he was born here.  We
rescued his mother from the city
pound not realizing that she was
pregnant...boy were we surprised!!
Part Rottweiler and part Belgian
Tervuren, we weren't exactly sure what
we were going to get with this fellow.
Lucky for us, the combination was
perfect.  And there was a great family
in Arlington that wanted Bear just as
much as we did.  He was successfully
placed in his new home just after
Christmas.....Good Luck Bear!
Update: Bear's new name is Yogi Bear, and here are some
updated pictures of him!  He is doing great in his new
home.  He has a new collar with his own name tag, and he
loves his very own room (his crate!).  The latest update is
that Yogi is now an official "track dog"!  He goes to the
races with his family & is the perfect support system for
the drivers.  He gives licks for good luck before they race,
then greets them excitedly when they return!
ADOPTED FEB. 2009
Update: Snicker Doodle, aka
"Dude", with his new family!
We hear Dude is now getting to
be as big as his other brothers
& sisters in the litter.  He's not
the runt anymore!  And he still
has the same big heart that he
always had.  He is well loved by
his new family & we are so
happy for him!
ADOPTED DEC. 2008
Shadow is another Miracle of
Modern Science.  He was born
after his mother underwent two
rounds of heartworm treatment
(the 2nd of the two puppies born at
Tails of Hope, clueless that
momma dog was pregnant!).  With
a combination of pure cuteness
and a small heart murmur, we at
Tails of Hope decided to adopt him
ourselves!

What can we say?  Every once in a
while, that perfect dog comes
along  that you just cannot let go.
Update:  Blanca's new family tells us that her
name is now Maya, and she is doing amazingly
well in her new environment.  She loves paying
in the backyard, going for daily walks, and is
very well-behaved in the house!  She has
become a perfect member of their family.
LUKE
ADOPTED JAN. 2009

Our very first adoption of
the new year!!
WALLY
ADOPTED JAN. 2009
Luke was probably our most difficult
adoption so far.  Not because he is a difficult
dog, but because he is so wonderful that we
considered him a member of our family.  So
wonderful in fact, that he is the only rescue
dog that was moved into our main house to
live with the family.  Gentle, Calm, and the
biggest lap dog ever...We Will Miss You Luke!
Wally is the complete package!  He's cute, family
friendly, and a great companion.  He is a 9-month old
Wire Terrier/Jack Russell mix.  He was adopted by a
wonderful family from North Richland Hills and is
adjusting beautifully.  Although he was only here 4
months, he will forever be remembered as a great
friend.  Good Luck Wally.
Luke with his new dad, in his new
home, in his favorite room... the kitchen!!
Full of energy and spunk, Trixie was
fostered by Tails of Hope for Chicks &
Mutts until her adoption.  Trix was a
beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback/Visla mix
that made that made friends easily and
was loved by all of us.  We wish her the
best with her new family.
PEPPY
ADOPTED FEB. 2009
Peppy is a 5 month old Golden
Retriever mix.  Yes, another of the litter
of six!  She doesn't look like her golden
momma dog either, but she sure does
have her silky hair & the wonderful
sweet personality of  a Golden!!  Peppy
was adopted by a great family from
Allen.  She now has a big backyard & 2
young children to play with!
Update:  Peppy's new Mom has
told us that Peppy's name is
now Pepper & she is fitting in
wonderfully in her new home!
We sure do miss you Pepper &
wish you all the best!
LUCY
ADOPTED FEB. 2009
Lucy came to Tails of Hope after being
rescued by a business in Waxahachie.
After being shot in her front leg, the nice
people had her treated by a vet and
placed her with us.  Luckily, her leg
healed and she was adopted by a
wonderful family with 4 boys after being
with us for only 3 weeks.   Lucy is a
diamond in the rough, we'll miss you
greatly!!
JACKSON
ADOPTED MARCH 2009
Jackson was a wonderful Australian Shepherd
that came to Tails of Hope via a local shelter.
This poor boy had recently been hit by a car
and had a dislocated leg.  Immediately after
receiving Jackson, we had him in the vet's
office, and Jackson spent the next two weeks in
a sling.  Luckily he made a full recovery and
was adopted by a wonderful family with lots of
land for him to roam.  If we said we've ever seen
a sweeter dog, we'd be lying!  :-)

Good luck Jackson, and don't forget to keep us
updated....
BUTCH CASSIDY &
SUNDANCE KID
ADOPTED MARCH 2009
BUTCH CASSIDY
SUNDANCE KID
Butch Cassidy & Sundance Kid are Great Pyrenees
brothers that came to Tails of Hope from a local shelter
because they did not have adequate space.  These very
sweet boys look large, but in reality are just 75 pounds of
joy and fluff.  Butch and Sundance spent about one month
at Tails of Hope before being adopted by a great couple
from Grandview, TX.  We were pleasantly surprised when
both dogs were adopted by the same family because these
brothers are best friends.  If they hadn't gone together, I
would hate to be the person that had to break the bad news
to them!!
BANJO
ADOPTED APRIL 2009
Banjo is the last of 6 brother/sister puppies to be
adopted that were surrendered to Tails of Hope
last November.  We're elated because they were
a pure joy!  Although he looks just like a Border
Collie, his mother was a purebred Golden
Retriever.  He was adopted by a wonderful lady
from Arlington, TX, who used to train and show
dogs.  We went and saw him last week and he's
adapting beautifully!  Good luck Banjo, we love
you....
UPDATE: Banjo's new name is PAX,
which means 'peace' in Latin.  Here PAX
is seen playing in his new yard with his
new best friend.

PAX's new mom tells us that he is
learning new things every day...he's a
very smart boy! He loves to play & loves
his walks.  Although he also loves to
chase those kitties!
BOOYAH
"BOO"
ADOPTED MARCH 2009
Boo came to Tails of Hope from a local
shelter.  He is a purebred Australian
Shepherd with beautiful sky-blue eyes.  He
was only with Tails of Hope for 40 days
undergoing heartworm treatment before
being adopted by a great couple from
Benbrook, TX.  To know Boo is to love him
because his personality speaks volumes.
Rain or shine, Boo was always smiling.
Keep us updated Boo, we miss you already!
Update: Jackson with his new mom at his
new home.  He has lots and lots of room to
run! And look at that grin on his face!  He
sure looks happy & we know why!  His
new mom tells us that he has a new doggy
best friend, he loves being outside with his
family on the property, & he has claimed
the couch for his own bed!
STITCH
ADOPTED MARCH 2009
Maya with her new mom & dad!
Update:  Wally's new family tells us that Wally is
doing great!  He loves his new little boys & lays in
their room at night until they fall asleep. Once
they are sleeping, Wally makes his way to his
parent's room to crawl into bed with them!  He
also gets to play at the dog park twice a day &
absolutely loves it. We also hear that everyone at
the dog park loves him back (which is no
surprise to us)!  Send us pictures when you can!
Update:  Lucy's new family says that Lucy has fit in
perfectly in their home!  She has a new doggy best
friend & the two have become inseparable. Plus she
has a huge family who absolutely adores her!!  She has
a great big yard to run around & play in, & her favorite
hobby is staring down squirrels!!  She is also taking
dog training classes & is eager to learn!  We couldn't be
happier for her!
Update:  Booyah's new mom tells
us that Boo is doing wonderful in
his new home!  He is well loved
by mom, dad & baby, and he has
a new doggy friend to play with.
He is fitting in perfectly!
Update:  We hear from Butch & Sundance's
new family that the brothers are doing great
on their new farm!  They are getting along
well with all the other animals, & they love to
explore the many acres they now have at
their new home!  We miss you boys!
Stitch is an adorable purebred
Jack Russell who stayed in a
foster home while he was with
Tails of Hope.  Lucky for Stitch
he was noticed right away by a
wonderful lady who had a
female JR of her own & was
looking for another family
member!  Stitch is now part of
their family & we hear he is
very happy!  Pictured below is
Stitch in his new home playing
with his new sister, Roxy.
They make a beautiful pair!
DEXTER
aka 'DEX'
ADOPTED MAY 2009
Dexter came to Tails of Hope when he was only 4
weeks old.  This precious guy had contracted
pneumonia, and as a result was left with effects of
chorea.  He is a Border Collie/Great Pyrenees mix
and just about the cutest thing we've ever seen.  It
was quite difficult to let Dexter go, but we found a
great family for him in Killeen, Tx, that we know will
give him all of the love and attention he deserves.
Bon Voyage Dex, please keep in touch!!
Update:  Dexter's new mom reports that Dex
is making himself right at home!!  He loves to
play with his new adult & children friends, &
he's a very happy little boy!  She also sent
these pictures of him in his new home!
ADOPTED DEC. 2008
DAISY
ADOPTED MAY 2009
Daisy is the smallest dog to have
graced the halls of Tails of Hope.  A
mere 20 pounds of purebred Rat
Terrier, Daisy was a true delight.  She
came to us from a local shelter and
spent only 2 weeks with us before
being adopted by a woman in Glen
Rose, TX.  Because we're normally
accustomed to larger dogs at Tails of
Hope, she moved into the upstairs
portion of the main house and lived
in one of the private bedrooms.  Can
you say spoiled??  Oh well, she's
worth it!  Take care Daisy and give a
call sometime.....
UPDATE: Daisy's new name is
"Poochini".  Here she is inside
her new home with her new mom!
MARGARITA
ADOPTED MAY 2009
Margarita is the first of five, (fingers crossed),
Heeler puppies to be adopted from Tails of
Hope.  She and her four siblings came to us
from a local shelter after space became limited.
After a week with us, a nice woman and her
daughter couldn't resist adopting Margarita
into her new, forever home.

Congratulations Margi!  Good luck with your
new family and please keep us updated....
SMILEY
UPDATE: Margarita's new
name is Zoie and her new
family absolutely adores her!
ADOPTED MAY 2009
A Tails of Hope favorite, Smiley came
to us several months ago.  Originally,
we were concerned because she was
very shy.  However, within a week of
being a member of the "Tails of Hope
Pack", Smiley fit right in and made
herself at home.  She was adopted
into the most wonderful home in
Waxahachie, TX.  We hear that she is
thriving beautifully in her new
environment with her new family.

Happy Trails, Smiley!
Another update from Layla's mom:  We hear that Layla
is growing bigger each day.  She loves car rides &
sticking her nose out the window to get that fresh air.
And she curls up to sleep next to her kitty friend!
Update: We hear that Lovey is doing
fantastically in her new home & is the
perfect companion to her new owner. Here
are some pictures of Lovey on her new
dog bed, her new sofa, & with her new hat!
TIPSTER
ADOPTED JUNE 2009
Hooray!  Tipster found his new home
this month in Keller, TX.  He came to us
in a litter of five Heeler puppies from a
local shelter that ran out of space.  He
only spent 3 weeks at Tails of Hope
and already doubled in size just before
his adoption.  He is playful, loveable,
and a joy to have known.

Happy Trails ol' friend, keep us posted.
DIRK
ADOPTED JUNE 2009
Dirk came to Tails of Hope from Joshua, Tx.
Like many of the dogs we receive here, it
was very difficult to let Dirk go.  Loveable,
cuddily, and about the cutest dogs we've
ever met, Dirk was certainly a joy to have
around.  He is a Catahoula/Lab mix with the
most beautiful coloring....

We'll miss you, boy.  Write soon.
UPDATE:  Dirk in his new home
with his new mom & dad!  His
new name is Ranger.
ASTRO
ADOPTED JUNE 2009
Astro came to Tails of Hope through a local
shelter.  He is a one-year old purebred
schnauzer with the friendliest disposition to
both people and his canine companions.  It
was very pleasing that Astro was one of
Tails of Hope's most expeditious adoptions.
We were sad to see him go, but glad to
facilitate a new  home with his new family.
BROWNIE
ADOPTED JUNE 2009
PEEKIE-TIKI
ADOPTED JUNE 2009

doggy doors for total access to
indoors or outside...his choice!
His new name is Schroeder &
here is a picture of him with his
new twin, Isaac!
TAZ
ADOPTED
AUGUST 2009
Brooke is about as precious as
you can get in a new puppy.  To
our surprise, she's probably the
most calm lab pup that we've
ever encountered with a
disposition that was irrestible.
That's probably why she didn't
last long here... Brooke was
quickly adopted into a
wonderful home in Waxahachie,
TX.  She has 2 young children &
another big doggy to play with!
There is not much we can
say about little Peekie-Tiki
that the pictures don't.  How
did she get her unique name,
you ask?  We still haven't
been able to figure that out
ourselves, but it seemed to fit
her perfectly.  Adorable,
loveable, and very cuddly all
describe Peekie-Tiki
wonderfully.  She was only
with us for several days
before leaving for her new
home in Waxahachie, TX.
UPDATE: Her new
name is Annie and we
hear she's doing very
well in her new home
with her new family!
Brownie came to Tails of
Hope from a shelter south
of Fort Worth with four of
her brothers and sisters.
A complete lap dog,
Brownie made herself at
home here for about a
month before finding her
very own home in Dallas.
We will miss you Brownie,
please keep in touch!
UPDATE: Brownie's new name
is Sophie and we hear that her
new family is thrilled with her!

BUBBLES
ADOPTED JAN. 2010
Spock is one of the more
unique dogs to come to Tails
of Hope.  He was the only
member of his litter born with
pointed ears, hence the
name Spock.  He is devilishly
clever, but also both caring
and sweet.  He has been
adopted by a volunteer of
Tails of Hope and now lives
in Arlington, TX.

Daphne was one of our favorite dogs.  She
rang in at just over 4 lbs, but had the presence
of a much larger dog.  We were on the verge of
adopting Daphne for ourselves until the
perfect family called and adopted her into their
home.  Daphne now lives the life with a lake
right out her front door.  Good Luck, Daphne!

Update:  We hear Daphne's new name is Lilly,
and she is very much a momma's girl!!
Taz is a beautiful Chocolate
Lab that came to TOH from a
local shelter.  Labs have
always been one of our
favorite breeds and Taz was
no exception!  He wasn't
with us long because he
was adopted into a home in
Dallas within a few weeks of
his initial arrival.   Bon
Voyage, Taz!

Update:  Taz's new name is
Kojack!  He is currently
living the good life full of fun
& adventure.  And we hear
that he loves to fish!
Fisher is a beautiful Red Merle
Australian Shepherd that came to
Tails of Hope from a local shelter.
Fisher only spent about one month
with us before finding his new home
in the Metroplex.  He now lives with
another Australian Shepherd and the
two have become the closest of
friends.  We'll miss you buddy!
Georgia was a true peach and
we were so glad to rescue her
and facilitate her adoption with a
wonderful family outside of
Waco, TX.  Georgia was calm
tempered and a real pleasure to
have with us, even if it only was
three months.  We love you
Georgia!
"Princess" Dutchess is a
wonderful Rat Terrier that came
to Tails of Hope with Daphne.
After Daphne was adopted,
Dutchess became lonely and
wondered when her new forever
home would also come calling.
Luckily, Dutchess found her
new home and is receiving the
Royal Treatment in Arlington,
TX.  We hear she is doing
beautifully and couldn't be
happier for her!
Autumn is a happy-go-lucky girl that came to
Tails of Hope from a local shelter.  Just about
the cutest thing you've ever seen and the best
cuddler we've ever encountered.  Autumn is a
beautiful, long-haired Collie mix that found her
new home with a family in Wylie, TX.  She made
many canine friends here and they already miss
her!  Good Luck
, sweet girl.

Update:  Autumn's new name is Gracie!
Bubbles is a beautiful Collie/Lab mix that came to
Tails of Hope from Joshua, TX.  She is high energy
and
full of life!  The first couple weeks after Bubbles'
arrival at TOH we thought she would be difficult to
place, but we were soon proved wrong.  She turned
out to be the perfect dog and quickly fell in love with
her ourselves!  However, a wonderful family came and
adopted her into their home.  Good luck
, Bubbles!

Update:  Bubbles' new name is Miss Moll
ie, or
"Moll
ie" for short.
We try not to have favorites here
at TOH, but Cheyenne would
certainly top that list.  This might
surprise you, but Cheyenne is
part Dalmatian, Poodle,
Yorkshire Terrier, and Labrador.
Cheyenne was one of our
longest residents, but we were
fine with that :-)  However she
finally found her new home in
Waxahachie, TX with a family
that knows just how special she
truly is.  Love ya Cheyenne, call
soon
!
